Love for animals

At no extra cost to you I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

I have always loved animals my whole life. I can’t remember a time when my family didn’t have any pets. I grew up with dogs and other small animals. Just ask me what animals my family had.

We had dogs, a hamster, frogs, a parakeet, a fish, and hermit crabs. I have a fondness for animals that I inherited from my dad. He tends to attract animals to him and his kind soul.

Now I horseback ride. It is just for fun. I really enjoy doing it and it’s great exercise too. I definitely get a workout every time. The farm is also at the bottom of a very steep hill, so to go down to it you need to descend and to leave you need to climb it.

Once I went to college I adopted two elderly cats. They are brothers and I didn’t want to separate them for fear of them getting lonely. Both are Maine Coon mixes whom I love dearly. I tend to treat them like my children and not animals. Elvis and Presley are my favorite beings in the whole world. Elvis is definitely more of a momma’s boy and he likes to be held like a baby. Presley is very antisocial and hates being held.

Throughout life I’m pretty stingy with my money, but that doesn’t apply to stuff for the cats. I don’t shy away from buying them new blankets, toys, beds, and treats. I often buy them new toys keeping in theme with the holidays around that time of year.
