Healthy snacks to pack for long haul flights
At no extra cost to you I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
I would suggest avoiding anything with peanuts or traces of them. You never know when someone might have an allergy and it’s better to be safe than sorry. It’s already tough traveling with allergies so try not to make it worse.
Veggies are a really good snack to have packed. I prefer peppers, carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Cucumbers and tomatoes are my go to.
Crackers or pretzels are always a good option. I really like cheesits, especially the ones that are white. Pretzels are also a good bet, just make sure to avoid any kind that has peanut butter in them.
Raisins are a good option for something sweet and there’s no ability to cross contaminate them with peanuts. Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is very good too.
If you would like something with meat then I would suggest jerky or meat sticks. Go with whatever you prefer for form and flavor.
if you want something similar to peanut butter I would recommend almond butter or something similar to that. Whatever you prefer to eat.
Just make sure you will actually eat these snacks that you pack. It is not worth the time or energy to pack food that you don’t like or won’t eat.
I would suggest packing your snacks in reusable containers. It’s all about sustainability and responsibility for the planet for me. We after all only have the one planet to live on.
