Starting an instagram account from scratch

At no extra cost to you I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

I am still pretty new to all this so take it with a grain of salt. If you want an example feel free to check out my account @roam_with_ashley. I would really appreciate any engagement with it.

Try to post a couple times a day, two or three times if possible. Do this for at least two weeks. Vary it up between reels and pictures, as reels tend to do better. Post stories every couple of hours as that will get your account noticed by other people. Either way be consistent with your posts.

Try and utilize trending audio for your posts and stories. This can boost your engagement and analytics while also increasing the chances of going viral. Definitely bring your own brand and style to your posts. It will separate your content from other creators and help show your followers who you are naturally.

Don’t be afraid to like and save your own posts (embarrassing I know). View it as a new business, as that is what it is really. If you have a personal or other account then make sure that one is following the other account. You can like and save posts without anyone else knowing about it.

You don’t need to spend any money if you don’t want to do it. Lots of accounts will try to take advantage of your growing popularity on the platform. I have noticed that advertisements can help get your account out in front of new people.
