Getting ready for a road trip

At no extra cost to you I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

I think everyone should take a couple road trips in their lives. While snacks are really good to have prepared and packed, having other supplies can definitely help.

Before going on trips I would recommend cleaning your car. Cleaning putty can get rid of dirt and debris in the small places that you usually can’t get. Cleaning cloths can be used on a variety of things. I would recommend you invest in some reusable and washable ones so that you can stay environmentally conscious. You will also get a lot of use out of them so definitely get good quality ones, even if you have to spend more money.

Vent clips are great air fresheners to have in your car. You will be spending a lot of time in your vehicle so it definitely helps with any smells. It can also help if you have any passengers in your car. If you get carsick easily I would suggest a scent that isn’t overpowering for you. Also, I would recommend placing it on a vent away from the driver.

Accidents do happen, especially when you are on a trip. Plan ahead for these situations so that you can always be prepared for anything. I would recommend you have a battery jumper and cables in an easily accessible place. This is just in case your battery dies and you won’t have to rely on anyone else. In case you have an issue with your tire I would advise you to have a portable tire inflator. This will resolve any emergency you have.

I would also suggest that you get a good quality phone mount for your car. This will come in handy to help keep track of your phone in the car. This helps a lot with using your phone for directions or applications for cash back.
