Staying local
At no extra cost to you I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
Most people refer to it as a "staycation", but I like to view it as traveling local. You can really learn a lot about your town. You can also save a lot of money by doing this. It's always good to learn more about your town and you can have fun at the same time. Try to plan all three meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner at places you either love or have been dying to try out. My tip would be to find 3 educational activities or more if that's your thing. Now to help balance things out do something fun or do a couple fun things if you have the time to do it.
I would encourage everyone to play tourist in their own towns. Do touristy, stereotypical stuff that you would normally be embarrassed about doing. Take those pictures or videos and do what you want. If you are shy or embarrassed then embrace a different personality. If you act like a stranger then you will behave like how you act.
